Ronald McDonald visits Sunnyhills School!

On Monday morning my class (Room 21) went to the hall to meet a famous person! I felt super excited. When we arrived at the hall, we first sang some songs .Then came the famous person!

It  was Ronald McDonald!

He came to teach us about road wise. Ronald McDonald told an interesting story. It was about Ronald McDonald finding his red and white sock. In the story, he first went outside and hung the washed pair of red and white socks on the line. Mrs Yates read the story to the junior classes. He could even hang the sock on a soft blanket! I was very surprised! It was such a windy day that one of the socks blew away.

Ronald decided to go to Sunnyhills School to find his red and white sock. He wanted to drive or ride on a bicycle to school. Instead, Ronald McDonald decided to walk to school. He said “footpaths are for walking, not for playing.” Then he walked to a road that he needed to cross. He came to a zebra crossing. He was a bit silly, so he said “ you stay over here while I run across the road.” We all shouted “NO!!!” Ronald McDonald said “then what shall I do? Hmmmm?” Then Ronald McDonald said “when you cross the road you have to step back, and then stop, look and listen before you cross the road.”

At last, Ronald McDonald got to school and hoped he could find his sock there. He couldn’t find his sock anywhere. He said “where can we find things that we have lost?” We all said “the lost property box!” So Ronald McDonald walked to the lost property box. Every class then saw that the lost sock had been on his back the whole time! Then he chose a little girl to reach for the red and white sock on his back.

Ronald McDonald then said “I have a present for you.” A person was holding a netball and a football!

Finally all the junior classes went back to their own classes. I was glad to have seen Ronald McDonald.
